Tackling the Game. In 1992 a tackle from Liverpool's Dean Saunders ended the playing career of Chelsea's Paul Elliott , then 28, by knocking his knee more than two inches out of place. Elliott has now set up a youth academy that trains youngsters in technique and the pressures of the modern game, and he is also a Radio 5 and Channel 4 commentator. In a special edition, Anne McKevitt and Tessa Shaw visit a unit for special needs babies at Homerton hospital in east London to give it a makeover that will improve both comfort and effectiveness.
See today's choices.

Home Front 9.00pm BBC2

When two nurses wrote to Home Front to ask the show to make over the transitional baby-care ward at Homerton hospital in east London, it was an offer the team could not refuse. Anne McKevitt is drafted in to redesign a clinical-looking ward that has no real facilities for mothers and their babies, so she has a lot on her hands.
The ward was not purpose-built, so she asks the mothers, doctors, husbands and siblings what they would like to have to make their stay more comfortable She is asked to provide bathing and feeding areas, somewhere for the mothers to sleep over night, storage facilities, an area for privacy, and so on. It's a huge project, but McKevitt and her team manage to make the area seem more like a home than a hospital.
