Once they manned the green channel at Heathrow. Now customs officers chase bootleggers along motorways and into high street shops and illegal drinking clubs across the south east. It is part of a war on the "booze run" and for the past year cameras have followed teams of customs men and women working undercover and in uniform in what some say is an almost hopeless task. They face the man who's sold 50 million pints to daytrippers in France, arrest an off licence owner in Oxford and stake out an industrial estate in Guildford in search of 35,000 cans of bootleg beer.
