A wry and affectionate look at Britain's underground enthusiasts. Ask them what first dragged them down and they are as likely to discourse upon Victorian sewers as upon Rupert Bear finding a trapdoor in the lawn. Robin grew bored selling Skodas and purchased a coal mine. David bought a plot in a catacomb and invited his friends to be buried there with him. "You sometimes get the feeling that the whole of Britain is hollow. And that you could fall into something just by walking in the road."

Despite the spread of big-money snooker tournaments throughout the world, there can still only be one world champion, and tonight he will be celebrating victory in the most prestigious event of them all.
