I returns with a six-course gastronomic
Journey through France.
She starts in the rich soil of the Garden of France. In Tours she finds a traditional local dish of pork with prunes followed by chocolate mousse. And in a primary school in the town, children are already "learning how to be attentive to a wide variety of fragrances, tastes, aromas and textures".
This week, Mireille Johnston also unearths some delicious cultivated mushrooms, and learns the origins of the traditional dessert tarte tartin.
