Exuberant musical biopic of rock legend Jerry Lee Lewis, starring Dennis Quaid and Winona Ryder

He was known as the Killer and when he banged out the chords his fans howled for more. But the scandal of his marriage to a 13-year-old cousin all but killed off his career.
This biography concentrates most on Lewis's rise and temporary fall between and 1958, when he made his name and first records playing a particularly raucous version of rock 'n' roll ("the Devil's music", as his cousin Jimmy Swaggart calls it).
Director Jim McBride is better known for his earlier The Big Easy, which also starred Quaid.
