Is it possible to stand for peace and yet be part of an army of occupation? Yishai Shuster is an Israeli reservist soldier who has filmed his own diary in Israel's occupied territories. It is a rare glimpse into the reality of life there - the daily round of harassing Palestinians, dodging stones and watching over militant Jewish settlers.
He is often faced with brutal prejudice - "Arabs stink and they always will," explains a 13-year-old Jewish boy who lives on the West Bank. But he feels that not to serve is to betray your friends and country. This controversial film, part-confession and part-documentary, charts the personal dilemma of one soldier with a conscience.
