Shamrock V. The best remaining example of the 'J' class yachts and one of the loveliest sailing ships built, Shamrock is the largest single-masted vessel in the world. She was originally commissioned by the millionaire Sir Thomas Lipton in the early 1930s in his final attempt to win the Americas' Cup for Britain. Now she has been restored by an Italian millionaire. State Museum Kroller Mailer
The museum concentrates on the personal collection of Mrs Kroller
Müller who lived in the St Hubertus hunting lodge. Famed for its
Van Gogh collection, the museum also includes works by Mondrian, Van der Leek, Picasso and many others. There are examples of classic art as well as a splendid collection of Chinese porcelain.
