Fourth of six programmes.

Do you have noisy neighbours? Pattie Coldwell meets the boffins at the Building Research Establishment to discover how sound travels. Introduced by Geoff Hamilton
Gay Search
Roy Lancaster
Designing and building your own garden can be both rewarding and fun. Features in a garden provide a focal point which can create the illusion of space, especially important in a small garden. Simon Williams of Marley demonstrates how to construct an attractive circular patio which also provides a useful area of hard standing. Many new gardeners are faced with terrible clay soil with masses of builders' rubble and waste to aggravate the problem.
Geoff Hamilton demonstrates how to turn such soil into a friable and productive growing medium, while Roy Lancaster shows some plants you could grow for spring and early summer colour.
