Fellowship
The ancient ritual of the Admission to Fellowship ceremony in the college chapel - with its latin incantations, kneelings and clasping of hands - introduces Jane Bewick , a new young research fellow, to the strange and varied life of the Cambridge don. One of her more worldly new colleagues is Sir James Beament , Professor of Agriculture, insect-lover and inventor of a revolutionary solution for preserving fruit. But perhaps the most bizarre job goes to Dr James Diggle , the University Orator, who has to make speeches in latin at the impressive and colourful Honorary Degree ceremony. His three little sons are suitably amazed ... Photography ALEX HANSEN Sound JOHN PRITCHARD Film editor LIZ TENNENT

continues a major season of films new to television. starring
Vince Colosimo
Maurice Devincentis
'Australians speak
Australian - not wop,' says
Gino to his girlfriend. It's just one more problem for the handsome teenager who is part of an Italian family and community in Melbourne - and bitterly resents their unwillingness to become part of their new country. Gino has other problems too: school is proving a drag and his family are moving home. Gino would sooner move out. This vivid and often amusing portrait of adolescence has some sharp observations of the Australian way of life - at its best and its worst.
