(I soliti ignoti)
Starring Vittorio Gassman, Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale.
Ambitious small-time crooks plot the perfect robbery, but when they put their plan into operation, things go hilariously wrong. Mario Monicelli's affectionate spoof of the popular crime thriller became a classic in its own right and launched Vittorio Gassman as a comedy star.

The Story of the Symphony Andre Previn with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra leader BARRY GRIFFITHS 'If we look at Brahms's Fourth Symphony,' says
Previn, 'we can understand why composers persist in writing symphonies. Unlike many other musical disciplines, music composed on such an architectural scale cannot be faked. In an opera or a ballet the story, scenery, lighting and costumes can wilfully seduce and distract the audience. In a concerto the charisma of the soloist or the sheer brilliance of the playing can often get you out of trouble. But in a symphony the only thing to be judged is the quality of the composer himself and his ability to develop his musical ideas.' Vision mixer ANGELA WILSON
