A swashbuckling adventure presented in a specially tinted version with piano soundtrack.
'All for one and one for all' is the motto of the Three Musketeers and premier swordsman of France, D'Artagnan, played with great style by the athletic Fairbanks. When Louis XIII is granted a son and heir, unknown to him there is a twin who is kidnapped and imprisoned in an iron mask by De Richelieu. Twenty years later, the villainous De Rochefort plots to seize power by replacing Louis XIV with his rival twin. However, he underestimates the old spirit of the musketeers....

Television cameras switch back and forth between rehearsal and performance watching LEONARD BERNSTEIN creating his own very personal interpretation of the Enigma Variations which Elgar's biographer Michael Kennedy has described as the greatest piece of orchestral music ever written by an Englishman.
...a a different trans-Atlantic approach to those old West Country friends of ours, occasionally disconcerting, but put across with conspicous concern for orchestral colours and textures. (STANDARD) (Rehearsal highlights shown in Omnibus) Vision mixer ANGELA WlLSON

Bel Mooney invites five people who first told their story some years ago in The Light of Experience to return to the studio and tell her how they have coped with life since then.
Roy Catchpole, the black sheep of his family, ended up serving a prison sentence. In prison he was converted to faith in Jesus Christ and subsequently became ordained as an Anglican priest. He began his parish life with enthusiasm, eager for conversions. Now he admits that 'the real world's a bit different'. Exhausted by frustration and disappointment, he still retains a Christian conviction and a hope for the future.
