For years, even decades, England's rugby team seemed to lack that mettle needed to win at the highest level. Then one Bill Beaumont emerged to lead them to a ' grand slam' with a magnificent victory against Scotland.
After a break of 13 years, the Formula One World Championship returns to the undulating Spa Circuit. In 1970 the BRM team won the race on what used to be the fastest Grand Prix circuit - now reduced from 8.8 miles to less than half the distance. John Watson won last year's Belgian Grand Prix which was marred by Gilles Villeneuve's fatal crash in practice.
