The ambitious Duke of Brampton, confidant of Charles II and one of the richest men in England, plans to eliminate his rivals one by one - and eventually to oust the King himself.
David Niven, unusually cast as the villain, is joined by two young British actors then at the beginning of their Hollywood careers - Edmund Purdom and Roger Moore - in this swashbuckling adventure of treachery and intrigue at the Court of Charles II.

A weekly magazine programme featuring community action and self-help projects from all around the country, presented by Ian Breach and Ann Hunter.
Unemployment amongst school leavers is rising. A generation with no future could become the biggest social problem we've yet to face. Is short-term work experience worthwhile? Or can we really create jobs?
And new-town blues in Telford, where a neighbourhood project has had its hopes dashed. They want better community care to cope with mental health problems -particularly a drop-in centre, to help combat boredom and isolation.
And ' Heard It ...': Grapevine's information exchange.

' If the person questioned is a self-possessed, controlled individual, then the questions may have to be provocative to make him " give ".' (ROBIN DAY, 1975) In the second of this series of conversations, Bernard Levin talks to one of the more redoubtable figures in broadcasting.
Twenty-five years of current affairs broadcasting, a formidable knowledge of politics, strong views on television's political role, an incisive mind and swift tongue, uniquely fit Robin Day for the hot seat, though he has been most reluctant to take it in the past.
In a recent interview he granted to a young boy on Jim'll Fix It, we learned why he wears a bow tie; today we learn about the man behind it as he talks about his personal and professional philosophy.

Despite his corrupt political connections, gangster Tommy Gordon is finally tried and sent to prison. When the sympathetic warden allows him out to visit his dying girlfriend, Tommy gets involved in a murder for which he takes the blame. This prison drama is an excellent remake of the classic 20,000 Years in Sing Sing, based on the book by the warden of America's infamous penitentiary.
