A new season of classic films that have influenced the development of the world cinema. RENE CLAIR'S Le Million starring Annabella Rene Lefevre Louis Allibert with Paul Olivier , Raymond Cordy
Two penniless artists search Paris for an old jacket containing the winning ticket in a lottery. Clair was one of the first directors to understand how music and natural sound could be used to complement images. The climactic chase through the opera is not only one of the classic comedy sequences but one of the best examples of his juxtaposition of sound and picture.
