Fast and fearless, the killer whale is one of the most powerful and ferocious hunters of the sea. Yet, paradoxically, they display an extraordinarily gentle, confiding and playful nature towards their only natural enemy, man. Like dolphins, they respond to training with intelligence and precision. In this film we join Haida and Chimo, two tamed killer whales at the ' Sealand of the Pacific! aquarium in British Columbia. How many colours has a hand?
Birds, forests, monsters - and jokes! The life and work of the German Surrealist painter Max Ernst , now in his 80s and living between France and the USA.
This film tells the story of Max Ernst 's dream: from his childhood in the Rhineland, to Paris in the 20s, to the Second World War when the Nazis branded him as a ' degenerate artist.'
Talking about his pictures Ernst said that they're revolutionary and totally unacceptable to any art expert - but ' they have the gift to charm the people on my side: poets, magicians - and a few who can'even read or write .. Narrated by GEOFFREY COLLINS with the voices of TONY CHURCH and DAVID WOOD
