A Girl Named
Tirtza Tirtza Kleinman - Israel
TIRTZA is a 24-year-old Sabra - an Israeli born in Israel. She is bright, sensitive; an ex-kibbutznik, ex-army sergeant, who works for the Radio and TV station in Jerusalem.
This film follows her life through the summer of 1973. She was open, frank and happy. Then came the war. What started off as a picture of a young Israeli woman's lifestyle, became a unique opportunity to see the life of someone before, during and in the aftermath of war; to see how circumstances can change attitudes overnight; to watch the enormous impact of war on an ordinary person; to see, in the life of this one girl, the problems of the Middle East.
