A unique opportunity to visit 'the most exciting exhibition of the century.' BBC outside broadcast cameras have been allowed into the British Museum the day before Her Majesty the Queen opens the exhibition to the public.

More than two million visitors are expected over the next six months, but tonight viewers are invited to a preview of the finest collection of Tutankhamun's treasures ever to come out of Egypt - an intimate and informed look at some of the 'wonderful things' found by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings 50 years ago.

'Chaucer's London' - the 1972 Summer Exhibition at the London Museum draws not only on known public collections but on private collections as well. Collector's World has followed the development of this re-creation of the atmosphere of 14th-century London.
Ship models made in bone, ivory and boxwood were sometimes so delicate that only human hair was fine enough for the rigging. Hugh Scully will be talking to Norman Boyd about a selection of ship models in the studio.
