Reckless horseback-riding, double whiskies and moonlight trysts with her husband's attractive law-partner: these are vital ingredients of the lush Lana Turner movies, of which this is a memorable example thanks to the capable touch of director John Sturges and fine performances from a distinguished cast.
Tonight's film, released by United Artists in 1961, is adapted from the controversial novel by James Cozzens.
