Presenters this week, Carole Ward, Wally Whyton
In the story chair, Vera McKechnie

This week Carole and Wally have thought out an original idea in collecting which you could try.
Dressing-up Day on Tuesday sees Wally as a special sort of artist - a sculptor - and afterwards Carole reads the story 'How Big is a Boot?' written and illustrated by Rolf Myller. On Thursday Wally tells the story of Robinson Crusoe who was shipwrecked, and the round window shows the sun, sea, and sand of a desert island.
Vera McKechnie is the storyteller this week, and today after her first story, 'Planting Bulbs', the arched window shows a hyacinth bulb growing. Her other stories are called 'Beach-ball' and 'Flying the Kite'.

A review of the sciences.

Christopher Chataway introduces:
Sex-Change?
Sex-change frequently makes press headlines along with confusing reports of the physiology involved. The withdrawal of five gold-medal-winning women athletes from this year's European Championships, supposedly to avoid the recently introduced 'sex checks', has raised the question again.
What does 'sex-change' mean?
Does it, in fact, happen? In one of tonight's items Horizon looks at this complex psychological and physiological subject.
