Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards 2006
Many of the world's finest artists gathered last night at the Dorchester Hotel in London for the Royal Philharmonic Society Music
Awards ceremony. The 14 prestigious awards honour outstanding achievements by composers, performers and arts organisations that demonstrate the RPS's key values of encouraging creativity, recognising excellence and promoting understanding. Felicity Palmer and Sean Rafferty present the awards, including a special Listeners' Award. Armando lannucci delivers a keynote speech, and Andrew McGregor talks to the musicians and introduces performances of their music.
