Cardiff, and lain Burnside brings the latest news from the opera competition. The competitors forthe recital prize are

Nino Surguladze (mezzo - Georgia) with Llyr Williams , Ailish Tynan (soprano- Ireland) with Simon Lepper , and Angela Marambio (soprano - Chile) with Llyr Williams.

Stephane Mallarmd 's 8-year-old son died in 1879 after months of illness. The poet wrote 210 sheets of notes towards a poem which remained unpublished during his lifetime.
