BBC Singer of the World Rosenblatt Recital Song Prize
Humphrey Burton presents highlights of the last heat, which took place last night in the New Theatre, Cardiff, and lain Burnside files his daily from the opera competition. The competitors forthe recital prize are Pavel Baransky (baritone - Ukraine) with Simon Lepper (piano), Matthias Rexroth (countertenor - Germany) with Phillip Thomas , Elizabeth Donovan (soprano-Wales) with Simon Lepper , Cosmin Ifrim (tenor- Romania) with Phillip Thomas , and Erin Wall (soprano - Canada) with Llyr Williams. The winner of the Song Prize will be announced at the end of the final of the opera competition on Sunday.
