The Vortex- Noel Coward 's play exploring the darker side of the upper classes - caused a sensation when it opened in 1924 and made the playwright an overnight star. On the the eve of Michael Grandage 's new production at the Donmar Warehouse, Richard Coles and guests revisit the impact the play had at the time.
