The Giant, O'Brien
By Hilary Mantel. Bard and giant Charles O'Brien's bones maybe seen at the Royal College of Surgeons at Lincoln's Inn Reids, London. He measures seven feet ten inches and was only about 21 years old at his death. His story, based on fact, is a fable about fear of the unusual in the 18th century, laced with black comedy.
