Benny Carter at 95. Michael Pointon continues his series of interviews with the jazz pioneer about his remarkable career. 2: Carter settled in Europe in 1935, working with the Willie Lewis band. In 1936 he took up an appointment as staff arranger at the BBC and worked with Henry Hall 's orchestra.
