During the sixties trumpeter Miles Davis led a group that for many years defined the cutting edge in jazz.

Julian Joseph presents some of the highlights from the great Miles Davis Quintet recordings and talks to pianist Herbie Hancock and tenor saxophonist George Coleman. Bassist Ron Carter and Coleman's successor Wayne Shorter recall their time with the band, which also featured the innovative drumming of Tony Williams.
