A rhapsodic symphony for the new century and the Proms debut for eminent Wagner conductor Donald Runnicles in the act from the epic Ring Cycle which begins with the Ride of the Valkyries and ends with Wotan, the ruler of the gods, imprisoning his daughter Brunnhilde in a deep sleep on a high mountain guarded by the magic fire.
