With Peggy Reynolds.

Like Dante, Francesco Petrarch lived most of his life in exile. Also like Dante, his life was transformed by a chance meeting with a girl - in Petrarch's case Laura de Noves, who would inspire much of his poetry. Alfred Einstein called Petrarch "the most frequently composed poet of world literature", and, over the centuries, his verse has inspired a variety of musicians from Schubert to Liszt.

Including:

Haydn Solo e Pensoso - Arleen Auger (soprano), Handel and Haydn Society Orchestra, conductor Christopher Hogwood
