Henry Williamson is remembered for only one book, Tarka the Otter, yet he wrote over 50 novels and short stories. When he reached the age of 80, in 1975, his nomination for a Queen's Honour was rejected, and he died in obscurity two years later.

In this drama-documentary, Williamson's complex life and personality are re-examined in an attempt to understand what led him to adopt the public stance that was to cloud the rest of his life and still obscures one of the most neglected writers of this century.

The Australian-bom composer Percy Grainger
(1882-1961) was a unique personality. Strikingly handsome, a brilliant pianist, exhaustingly energetic, wildly eccentric and passionate about his music almost to the point of madness, he was much loved by all who knew him. This award-winning production.about his life is rebroadcast to celebrate
British Music Year.
