In these days of TV and radio, with their seductive packages of soaps, sport and celebrities, why should anyone swap a comfortable sitting-room for a draughty village hall to hear a public speaker?
In this four-part series

In Oxfordshire,
STAFFORD WHITE AKER faces an audience somewhat perplexed by his unusual choice of subject. Will he win them over - or will his
'very warm welcome' gradually cool, as the object of his passion is revealed?
