The climax of the week's celebrations is the Queen Mother's 100th birthday, on which the BBC and ITV both add their own congratulations. Live coverage includes the carriage procession from Clarence House to Buckingham Palace as members of the armed services and the public gather to wish her happy birthday. David Dimbleby and Fiona Bruce introduce the BBC's coverage, which includes films devoted to the Queen Mother's passions, such as horse racing, and some live music performed by the National Youth Orchestra. John Suchet presents ITV's coverage of the celebrations, and a specially extended news on ITV at 6.30pm includes highlights of the festivities, which can also be seen at 7.00pm on BBC1. FL
