For the first time in weeks there is slightly more emphasis on the patients' problems than those of the medical staff of Holby City Hospital. One of the main storylines involves misunderstanding and depression: Jane Lapotaire makes a guest appearance as a woman who has been on tranquillizers since the birth of her now grown-up daughter. "She takes the sufferings of the whole world on her shoulders and she pays the price," explains her weary husband. "Daddy, don't romanticise it - she's made our lives a misery," snaps her daughter. And for those still on tenterhooks about the Baz/Charlie/Peter love triangle: Baz finally summons up her courage and makes a major decision tonight.
