The retirement year of Martina Navratilova , the greatest-ever woman tennis player, is marked by a revealing documentary that includes interviews with the player, her parents, coach and opponents and friends such as Billie Jean King and Chris Evert.
Navratilova recalls her childhood in Prague and defection to America, talks about her lesbianism and her celebrated "palimony" case, and looks back over her 22-year career. Her progress towards her last Wimbledon, which so nearly brought her a tenth women's singles title, is followed in detail, including the preliminary tournament at
Eastbourne, her training and warm-up regime, and a look at her off-court life at her home in London.
