Not just another programme on crime, but one that puts a deliberate emphasis on crime's victims and the people whose lives are affected by crime and its consequences. The object is to try to right the balance in favour of the people criminals try not to think about - those whom the justice system itself often seems to overlook.
The series also features reconstructions of important cases that have led to judicial and forensic breakthroughs. Tonight the people featured include the father who lives in fear of his son - a murderer, and the cab-driver who was hijacked by two IRA members and then forced to carry a bomb into Whitehall. Presented by Nick Ross.
