A decision is expected soon on whether Britain should begin recycling imported nuclear waste at the Thorp reprocessing plant in Cumbria. The scientific and environmental arguments have been long and bitter, and opinion is sharply divided as to whether Thorp is world-beating technology or just a dangerous nuclear dustbin. Tomorrow's World looks behind the battle lines to examine the way in which the relevant decisions are made and what the implications are for other controversial technologies. Also, how the historic stained glass of a German cathedral inspired a new pollution monitor, and the reason why local vineyards are benefiting. With Kate Bellingham , Carmen Pryce , Judith Hann and Howard Stableford.

In the early 1900s, an English anthropologist discovers a strange, frozen ape-man in China. On board the Trans-Siberian Express, he encounters an old rival, determined to find out about his discovery. Meanwhile, the creature defrosts and escapes from its crate - revealing itself to be an alien sent during prehistory on a mission to claim the earth. It is able to force living creatures to absorb it into their bodies where it deprives them of their intellectual faculties, turning them into zombies in the process.
