This filmed report, which examines the deprivation of children's rights, highlights the plight of just a few of the world's 155 million children who live in appalling conditions. They include 14-year-old Angelina who lives in New York, has a baby son and is pregnant for the fourth time; Runa who is 11 and works a 90-hour week in a Bangladesh cigarette factory; and Chico and Alberto who are 10 and 9 and living apart from their parents in war-ravaged Mozambique.
Yesterday in New York, the world's leaders met at the UN to discuss children's rights. The programme asks if, faced with the stark reality of so many of the world's children living under such conditions, those world leaders really care enough to give children a better deal. Producer John Barnes
Executive producer Paul Watson
