A comedy series written by Peter Tilbury and starring Lenny Henry.
Gareth Blackstock is the flamboyant top chef at one of Britain's smartest restaurants.
He is a master of his art and a hard taskmaster. But his dream is one day to become the proprietor and chef of his own restaurant.
To get a feel for his role, Lenny Henry worked with some of this country's celebrity chefs in their kitchens. "I was immediately struck by the level of dedication," he says. "The people involved honestly believe this is the hardest work they'll ever do."
In this first episode, Gareth faces cuts in his budget and must restructure his kitchen staff at Le Chateau Anglais.
