Wildlife on One

on BBC One London

Noses ofNancite. A cross between a raccoon, a glove puppet and a teddy bear, a coati is one of the most endearing of furry animals. But life can be tough for even the cutest creature in the small forests of Nancite, Costa Rica. The males have to learn how to survive in a female-dominated society. The females have to defend their babies during the first few weeks of life when other forest animals, desperately short of their normal supplies of food, are driven to prey on the vulnerable coati babies.
