A two-part film which chronicles the beginnings of the Christian church through the lives of two men.
1: Four years after the death of Jesus, Judaea remains under the iron grip of Rome. His tiny band of followers are forced to meet in secret; his teachings face extinction in a hostile world that treats them as blasphemers.
Two men come forward: one is Peter the fisherman, apostle of Jesus; the other is
Saul Paulus of Tarsus, devout orthodox Jew and energetic persecutor of the new teachings. They begin as mortal enemies ...

Second of two programmes Cut Me and I Bleed
The second part of Elvis's life was a perfect sine wave of peaks and troughs. From the despair of his mother's death and the tedium of army life, he rediscovered joy with teenager Priscilla Beaulieu , and returned to the recording studio on better form than ever. But he began years of increasingly gutless movies, becoming a commodity with diminishing dollar value. In 1968, drawing on all his courage, Elvis made a TV special which showed him to be still so good a rocker that even he was shocked. A glorious period followed as he revelled in live performance again, but divorce, isolation and his own dark side began to overwhelm him, and the man who had it all seemed to run out of possibilities.
