A documentary serial in six parts with Desmond Wilcox 3: For Richer for Poorer
The honeymoon is over and the gritty realities of married life - and domestic budgets - face Marc and Karen. Within weeks of taking their vows in church the strain is beginning to show. There are quarrels about money and disillusions about each other. Their dream cottage in the country is falling down and the Borough Council is failing to help. Karen's parents are worried about the young couple and Marc is even in trouble with his rugby team for not training hard enough. Something has to break. It proves to be Marc's car - the final financial blow to the young couple. But, just as in the soap operas, they fight back - together.
