Lord Home, perhaps better remembered as Sir Alec Douglas -Home, describes to David Dilks , Professor of International History at Leeds University, his early days as heir to a 300-year-old earldom, his determination to enter politics against his father's wishes, his time working with Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain during the Munich crisis and the fall of Chamberlain after the outbreak of the Second World War.
