Joining the New York City Police Department as enthusiastic young recruits, Dave Greenberg and Robert Hantz strike up a partnership and, as undercover cops, begin to wage a successful private war against crime in the tough 21st Precinct. However, their uncompromising idealism and unconventional methods and dress isolate them from their colleagues. As a result, they soon find themselves fighting corruption not only on the streets but also in the police force, putting themselves in jeopardy from both sides of the law.
