1886: During fierce fighting against the Apaches, a US patrol stops at a small mission on the south-west section of the American-Mexican border. There Captain Kaleb finds the settlers massacred and only his wife - savagely tortured - still alive. After mercifully shooting her, he returns to the fort, vowing revenge on the entire Apache nation. A threat which he carries out for two years, until he is called back to the Cavalry.
