1: In a luxury, plastic world 600 years from now, where babies are artificially hatched in batches and conditioned to want only what they can have, Dr Thomas Grahmbell , director of Central Hatcheries, applies for the ultimate in exclusive holidays, a visit to the Savage Reservation. Thomas and his companion, the pneumatic Linda Lysenko , find more excitement on the trip than they anticipated and for Linda, particularly, the consequences are far-reaching.
