A sceptical Captain Kirk has grave reservations when informed of the experiment to be carried out aboard the USS Enterprise during a simulated war situation but has to agree with Mr Spock that the amazing M5 seems a great success. Then comes crisis and catastrophe, with Kirk completely losing control and Star Fleet Command giving the grim order to its space-ships - 'Destroy the Enterprise!'
