The last programme in the series Shipwreck *
Narrated by DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
Only a mile from a holiday beach on the South Devon coast the wartime wreck of an American liberty ship lives on-as an artificial reef. A rich variety of colourful marine life now encrusts the hull while in the jumbled wreckage, lobsters and wrasse have taken up residence. Deep in the gloomy holds, fish shelter by the thousand and the deadly cuttlefish hunts for its next meal.

A season of ballets featuring dance companies and choreographers with whom Rudolf Nureyev has worked over the years. The Rite of Spring music IGOR STRAVINSKY choreography PINA BAUSCH
Stravinsky's stirring music has inspired many choreographers since Nijinsky's sensational production in 1913. For Nureyev, Pina Bausch's earthy versions of the initiation rites creates for a modern audience something of the same sense of shock that the original spectators felt.
