Tonight, in a new series, some of the people who were both in and out of the news reflect on us, themselves and Britain 25 years ago. The way we were in 52 - the way we are today.
In the first programme Julian Pettifer , with help from LADY CAROLINE STUART - Deb of the Year, and LADY NORA DOCKER - Shocker of the Year, along with MARJORIE PROOPS , OLD MOTHER RILEY and FRANK MUIR , reflects on manners and morals then and now; when gay only meant jolly and when, according to the BBC, the bitterest cold weather was only allowed to freeze wheels off a brass cannon.
