Every day the British puff their way through about 350 million cigarettes. According to one estimate the habit causes a tenth of all deaths. Meanwhile the Government collects its revenue and leaves the smoker free to dice with death. The new Royal College of Physicians report on smoking recommends stronger action. Tonight Michael Charlton looks at what is, and what isn't, being done to stop people smoking.
