RHODA POWER
The Northmen were not only warriors and sea-rovers, but also traders. They sailed from their own homes to other lands, raiding, trading, and settling, and their ships, which looked like great dragons, were the terror of all who saw them. Today you will hear about some of their voyages, especially that of Leif the Lucky, who found an unknown land which he called Vineland the Good and which we call America.

Anthem, Glorious and powerful God
(Stanford)
Glorious and powerful God, we understand Thy dwelling is on high Above the starry sky.
Thou dwellest not in stone temples made with hand;
But in the flesh hearts of the sons of men To dwell is Thy delight,
Near hand, though out of sight.
We give of Thine own hand. Thy acceptation
Is very life and blood To all actions good.
Whenever here or hence our supplication, From pure and with unfeigned hearts, to
Thee ascends,
Be present with Thy grace Shew us Thy loving face.
Oh, down on us full showers of mercy send,
Let Thy love's burning beams Dry up all our sin's streams.
Arise, 0 Lord, and come into Thy rest. Both now and evermore Thy name be blest.
Founder and Foundation
Of endless habitation. Amen.

The Milk Scheme
Anthony Hurd and Thomas Baxter
Thomas Baxter has been Chairman of the Milk Board since its incep- tion. Few men have so successfully maintained a difficult position, and while he has come in for his ful! share of criticism from farmers, he has nevertheless gained the respect and gratitude of many milk producers.
Conductor, P. S. G. O'Donnell
Elgar's Op. 27 is a suite for choir and orchestra called ' From the Bavarian Highlands ', an echo of the composer's travels in that part of the world. Three of the numbers are dances scored for orchestra alone, and these are often played separately in the form of an orchestral suite. Perhaps the most charming of the three dances is the lullaby In Hammersbach'.
