Tonight listeners are to hear the radio debut in Britain of the Comedian Harmonists, who broadcast with such brilliant success in Berlin, Paris, Vienna, and all over the Continent.
They are a sort of Continental equivalent of the Mills Brothers-five singers and a pianist.
Two popular broadcasters who have not been on the air for some time are to be heard tonight. George Doonan, the patter comedian known all over the country for his work on the halls and in revues, makes his return after a year's absence, while Georgie Wood , who has just finished playing 'Buttons' in Cinderella at Birmingham, is back after two years.
Elsie and Doris Waters and Clapham and Dwyer grow better each time they broadcast. And listeners will extend as hearty a welcome as ever to Anona Winn.
